First off, thanks to my husband for for re-working and re-launching Pancake Sundays! He’s the best.
I can’t believe our wedding was almost four months ago. Once the day started, it felt like everything was happening in fast-forward, and in the blink of an eye our wedding was over. May 16 was, without a doubt, the most magical day of my life so far, and re-living the experience through our photos and video has been my favorite activity as of late.
We thought about every detail for our wedding day – from homemade table runners, to stamped ice cream cups, to personalized button name tag seating assignments. With Adam being an art director and me working in PR, our wedding was a match made it neurotic, minute detail heaven. Because the day was such a blur, I didn’t really notice a single one of the creative elements we spent so much time on. Going through our photos feels like we’re looking at everything for the first time – and it’s been fun to see our personalities reflected in everything we did (well, really everything Adam did).
Adam and I didn’t do a first look; the first time we saw one another on our wedding day was when I walked down the aisle. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and for us it was important to honor that tradition (ironic, I know, considering very little of our relationship has been “traditional”). It made for a bit of a hectic cocktail hour, rushing to get all of our photos done, but it was 100% worth it.
Because I love so many of our pictures, I had a hard time narrowing down the selection I wanted to share. So, I didn’t. Sorry, not sorry. All photo credit: Andrew Abajian.
